Who's up for a run on Saturday? ;D I'm open to covering some new ground.

I was hoping that someone has a suggestion for where they'd like to go. Failing that, I'll take a look at the Waiparous map and see what jumps out at me. (among the legal trails)
My bumper and winch isn't on yet, but hopefully will be by Saturday. Lemon-Aid Jay called me yesterday to tell me that it's built - gone out to be bed-lined today. Hopefully he'll have it back on Thursday and I can pick it up on Friday ;D ;D ;D

Sounds good to me, Jessi. As long as you've got recovery points front and rear, there shouldn't be a problem.
I would like to keep the group from getting too big though - if there are more than 5 or 6 jeeps, it might be an idea to split the group.

ya thats cool,but its just me and my little bro in the cherokee,and ya my cherokees ready to go!! ive got enough cable and tow rope to reach trees 140 feet away from my jeep! and ive been all over whiperess many times,just saying i wont slow ya guys down,lol

Looks like we have enough folks for a nice little run. Let's pull out of the Smitty's parking lot at 9:00 on Saturday.
Here's what we'll each need to have
Front and rear recovery points (no exceptions)
AT or MT tires (I suppose that boggers are acceptable too Jeff :o)
Warm clothing and reasonable footwear (wet and muddy tennis shoes are no fun when the temperature drops)
Ample lunch
Water
Full tank of gas
Oh...bonus points for anyone that shows up with floral print rubber boots!

lol well i bought a hook for my rear, hoping to mount it after work tommorow, then all i need is those hooks from jeff and ill finally be able to do a run.

ill do my best to be there.. and if im there ill bring them and we can install them in the parking lot
i seem to be the target in this fun ride so i will do all i can to be out there
the GF might not be there but ill see if she can drive down for the weekend again and ill ask her to bring my flower boots as well ::)
might be ordering a lift in the next week or soo . and if i do then those bogger wont be RUBBING anymore

yes i did thanks, no questions asked apparently. and its got a lifetime thing were when i need new tires i get a discount like if i use 70% tread i get 30% off.

Cool well if you can, let me know if you'll be there even if its the night before. Its a long drive for me if i cant go lol. also do i need to buy bolts or will the stock bolts be good enough for now?

i think your stock bolts will be long enough but best thing to do is call the dealership as ask .

For me money, I'd buy new hardware (bolts, nuts, lock washers).
Gregg's Distributors may be the easiest place to pick that sort of stuff up. Figure out what you need for hardware diameter, thread type, and bolt length, and they'll grab exactly what you need - in your choice of Grade 5 or Grade 8.
How did you make out with that tire? Did the tire place make it right?

I am heading out with one or two other jeeps just a little later start time. Likely we will cross paths on the trail. We are just going out for an easy run with the kids. See you on the trails.

I plan on leaving Smitty's about 40:min behind you and running Meadow Creek trail. One other jeep coming out with me.

just to let you all know i got out safe
thanks for leading todd great day full of excitement
to start
we came accross some quaders one with a broken foot and pretty beat up from a roll over
so STARS was called out to extract this older man
the group of jeeps helped out all that we could getting him ready for pick up and helping carry the bed with the victom right into the helicopter
very cool
then little cody lost his clutch and i fixed that for him
and when i left i meet up with the quaders and i ended up riding buddys quad back since we set him up on a piggy back style
its was a good day hope buddy isnt in to much pain

we went and saw Rick at the hospital he is doing fine broken ankle and punctured lung.

Thats great he is doing good, altho it was neat to see the helicopter land like that the piolet made it look soo easy.
Other then that is was a fun run, i got alittle nervious when my clutch was flopping as i just got the master cylander fixed. Thanks to jeff for fixing it for me, it woulda been a long push out
