-
Guess I should really clean up the heep before showing up, even if it is just to browse and drool! :D
Nah. Just turn the sprinkler on and drive across the lawn. That'll work.
-
are we doing a run after this and if so is it going to be an open run or members only run???
-
Just wondering should volunteers just show up at 10? or should we come earlier than that? I will be coming and bringing my other half.
-
I guess it depends on what you were going to volunteer for. We're going to have a bit of volunteers meeting tomorrow (Thursday) at 6pm at BoomTown if you want to drop by. If you can't make that and still want to volunteer just show up by 10am on Sat and I'm sure I'll find something for you to help out with.
-
I doubt that we will be able to make it tomorrow at BoomTown, but we will be there for sure on Saturday.
-
I should be there somewhere around 9ish......and after cleanin up the rig I will help out where I can!!

Only people who wave back are allowed to volunteer, guess my stock ZJ isnt good enough for you huh dana? :P
-
Who waves at ZJ's? ???
-
at least you get waves here in Canmore you wave at another Jeep they look at you like you are crazy or something.......

It's not just canmore :o
When I go down to Montana, I get three times as many return waves than I ever have in Calgary.
-
You guys must be doing it wrong, raise fist with palm facing you, extend middle finger, repeat after me "^$#$% ^$# %^3$ $#&%*%*"!
This will most certainly get you a return wave. ;)

i used to wave lots... i got sick of people giving me the 'who the hell are you and why are you waving?' look....... now i only nod to lifted jeeps or wave, as i'm usually checking out their ride as they check out mine.............. that works better methinks......... unless i know someone in the stock jeep :D
or if i see DOm or Fraser bombing down the road i'll usually hang some body part out the window. (usually an ARM guys... if i could shift and moon people and work the clutch i would seriously consider it)
-
I second that I only wave at lifted Jeeps. But In RD I still get the funny looks because a lot of soccer Moms are driving 4 door JKs with lifts, bumpers and winches. ???
-
I wave but realize that only about 60 percent of them wave back, some with the confused look on there face of who is that. There are so many "yuppies" and "temps"(you know the ones that saw Dukes of Hazard, Sahara or Tomb Raider and want in on the "Cool" factor) in the jeeps that the just don't realize that this is a lifestyle not just a vehicle....kinda like Harleys now.....
Like I say to all the guys(and gals).....Just cause you own a jeep.......doesn't necessarily make you a Jeeper!!!

Thanks to all for a good time at the show. Kids & I had fun(Cheyenne too).
Have to say that the Rango is NOT the princess she once was after the trail ride following the show. Thanks to Scott & Nathan? for the tug out of the mud & spotting us through a couple tight spots. Was a little more challenging than I was expecting but the Rango did OK. Got home with a few bumps & bruises though...need to re-align the front fascia thanks to the mud hole, scratched the daylights outta my princess wheels, chunk outta one of the tires, rock stuck in front brake all the way home(had to take the wheel off to get it out) & the check engine light coming on today. Only part of the trail that had me nervous was climbing the rocks. All in all a good trip...was expecting some trail rash ;D. By no means the last trip for us ;).
Thanks to everyone on the trail ride for putting up with having a princess along for the ride!!!
Any one with pics of the trail ride they are willing to share? Please let me know as I have not yet trained either one of my kidlets to take pics or vids :'(.

So who is thinking of attending. Maybe you can enter the show and shine or the bass race competition.

Feel my ban stick!

Hey....be nice to him. I have a sneaking suspicion that his XJ might have been t-boned recently. ;)

Your a funny guy Todd. Nope. Not me...but my neck and my back..oowww!
-
I try.
I feel your pain buddy. I got rammed by a Subaru in the fall of '06 up near Hudson's Hope, BC. It ended up being a partial rollover, and left me hanging from my seatbelt in the ditch. It took a good two weeks before my neck started feeling better.

up near Hudson's Hope, BC.
Thats where I grew up.
-
Then you know where I was hit. I was heading from FSJ towards the Farrel Creek road on HWY 29...just past Bear Flats. I was being passed by a Subaru that was on fire (yes...the car was on fire BEFORE they hit me) and while trying to pass me on a curve, going uphill into the setting sun, on a double yellow, the driver of the Subaru lost control so badly that he ended up ramming the nose of his Subaru into my truck between the driver's side front wheel and my door. I managed to hold the truck on the pavement on two wheels for about 100 feet, and then ended up in the ditch.
It took an RCMP officer, a BC hydro crew, and a finally a team from forestry to put out the brush fire that started when the flaming Subaru came to rest in the other ditch.
Needless to say, the driver of the flaming Subaru got an all-expenses paid trip back to FSJ courtesy of the local RC's.

I'm mad that I was very late to the show and shine this past summer. I'm kicking myself for missing out on the bass race competition! Damn! ;D ::) ;)
