So I picked up this lovely Rubicon six days before before the 2010 CJA Off-Road 101 Course. She was basically a stock Rubicon, 5 speed, 4.0L engine. Lemon-Aid Jay did an inspection for me prior to my purchase, and mentioned a few things that could be possible problems, but gave it the okay!
Included stuff:
- hard top
- half a soft top
- a safety kit with first aid stuff, jumper cables, etc,
- tow bar hooks (still need to get the tow bar from the previous owner, and he isn't returning my calls >:()
- a safari-style roof rack (which unfortunately doesn't have enough clearance to raise/lower the soft top without removing two bolts from the frame).

My plan for the Jeep right now is to offroad it in the summer, and daily drive it in the winter (as my other options are limited to a sports car and a motorcycle), which means I can't build it up too big, as I don't want to lose winter drivability.
So far I've done the following:
- Complete fluid change, as well as redoing the front diff cover gasket (excluding the tranny, transfer case, and coolant...have all the fluids, just have to take the time to do it).
- Removed the tow bar hooks.
- Removed the roof rack (initially for repair, now I've decided I like driving it better with the rack off).
- Purchased the missing soft top parts from FiEND
- Paracord zipper pulls for the soft top.
- Detailed the inside, pulled / vacuumed all the carpets as the previous owner had a golden retriever that shed everywhere.
- Purchased a Warn 8274, needs a little work but should be ready to install in a couple weeks.
I recently did a trip to Seattle, and while I was there, I priced out some parts. Unfortunately no Canadian retailers came close to the prices down there, and while Lemon-Aid Jay could basically price match by fabricating the winch plate, I decided to just buy the Warn one so everything would match (sorry Jay).
Apeman asked me to post some pictures of the parts (of course, I had left them a mystery until now). So...this is the beginning of my build thread, which I hope to take quite far and make an amazing offroading machine.

I have a few things purchased that I still need to install:
- Warn 8274 Winch Plate
- Warn 8274 Winch (needs a little TLC first)
- Fluids for Transmission, TCase, and Engine Coolant
Wishlist:
- too many things to list right now :P

I like the bumper..simple and effective..not overly flash.
