Well it's due time I post a build thread on this forum.
But before that, I'll introduce myself and give a little background info.
My name is Fernando, 20 years old, and about to go into my second year for the Automotive Service Technology course at SAIT.
I got into Jeeps when my cousin took me off-roading in his lifted TJ around 6 years ago. After that I decided I wanted a TJ for my first vehicle.
Saved up and bought myself a 2003 Jeep TJ Sport.
Cute little jeep.

After about a year I joined Jeepforum, shortly afterwards a member told me about CJA. After reading several hours of countless info and pointers, I did all of this to the jeep.

2.5" Rough Country lift
1.25" JKS bl
1" M.O.R.E mml
15x8 Procomp 97 series
33x12.50" BFG Km's
Jks Quick discos
Raptor lined the interior
other little small mods
Drove the jeep like that up until March 16th 2011.

TJ got written off and I bought her back. I was going to part it out but changed my mind and took on this project.

What a great looking frame
(http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz94/03Jeeper/Rebuild%20Project/DSC_0012-1.jpg)
Found a frame from a 2004 TJ at http://www.garysautowrecking.com/ (http://www.garysautowrecking.com/) They specialize in Jeeps. Great customer service.
Thanks to JKRubi and Av.Nine for helping and showing up.

Started working on the frame
(http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz94/03Jeeper/Rebuild%20Project/P1110559.jpg)
Picked up a D44
(http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz94/03Jeeper/Rebuild%20Project/DSC_0065.jpg)
More work on the frame, also got a Skid plate from UCF.
This sunday I am hoping to paint the frame with Por-15. I have the Marine clean and Metal-Ready. I also roughed up the frame with a 60 grit wheel just to make a better bonding surface.
My plan is to get the jeep back on one frame by the end of august. Then buy all the important parts.
After I pass inspection(optimism) the real fun begins...
Stay tuned.

Little update:
Was able to work a few hours on the jeep today, got the D30 removed and threw it on the "new" frame.
Hopefully this week I'll be able to paint the 44 and throw it on the frame, also my brown dog mounts should be in this week.

Sorry about the crash. Wondering why you would not build it beefier now with it all apart vs going with the 30? i am not sure if you got the money but those 44's for sale in the classified would be a great way to go.
-
Looks like that control arm is toast. ..upgrade also?
-
You are going to love the brown dog mounts!!!

No worries man. I have a HP-D30 that I'd like to build this year maybe. My goal right now is to get it back or as close to stock as possible, pass inspection then begin the real transformation. My goal is to run 35's. A HP30 and a rear 44 I think will be good enough for me, I don't think I'd go any bigger than 35's.
Looks like that control arm is toast. ..upgrade also?
I bought a set off a member, but yes, after I pass inspection(hopefully) I'm upgrading all 8 arms. ;D
You are going to love the brown dog mounts!!!
I can't wait to get em!

Got the rear axle painted and swapped into the new frame. Going to repaint the diff later on, the paint didn't react well with the primer I think, damn thing peels easily.
-
Finally found the time to swap the 4.0L over to the new frame with the help of my pops.

Hopefully the fuel pump is in tomorrow so I can get the fuel tank bolted up.
-
Got the new pump today. Installed after school.
Also did a little undercoating before:
Old broken pump, must take a hard hit to break these.
Tech question:
Should there be zero play in the fan clutch? I reinstalled mine and felt a little wobble.
-
Shame about the totaled jeep, but this new build just keeps getting better and better Fernando! I guess every cloud has a silver lining eh? :)

Also gutted the interior, going to swap over the new airbags this week, replace the clockspring. Need to do a little body work, then I can swap it over.

All torqued except control arms.
Put the "new" wheels/tires on, put a rubberized coating underneath, cleaned a few things up.
If I get my exhaust issue fixed tomorrow, maybe, just maybe I can get the body over.
My garage is getting messy. ::)

fricken awesome man . ull make it for the boxing day run

Sorry for the late update. Was very busy with school and work, just couldn't throw in the jeep time.
But anyways, this is how the jeep sits now.
My dad painted the grill and fender so they wouldn't stick out too obviously. I think it looks pretty good.
We assembled the front end today, had a little trouble with a few bolts, I broke two... But we finally got it right.
Then the hood was put on, aligned and my dad fixed a few bends in it.
I cleaned the interior, still dirty, but I decided to throw the carpet back in it. Looks clean.
Weeks ago I installed my novak cable shifter and adjusted it, shifts like butter.
To get it to move around I had to install the driveshaft the Tcase came with, I realized it's a bit long... ****. Time to get it shortened.

Looks good man! You must really love your Jeep to go through all this work. I think you'll need to paint the other fender though!
Did you ever find a shifter boot? I am getting a custom leather one made up for ~$40 bucks from a local guy, if your interested I can ask him to make another one for you. Let me know.

That I do! I also wanted to try taking on such a big project.
I would, but I'm planning to go tube fenders later on. :)
I did find one, thanks for the offer. Let me know how yours turns out.

There you go everyone. 99% done.
Need to replace the battery because it decided to stop holding a charge a couple days. One more body bolt to fix, then its 100% done finally.
Monday I am hoping to get it inspected. I really can't wait to start driving my jeep again. It's been a year already.
Thanks for watching everyone.
All it needs now is an inspection which I'm hoping to get on monday. I'll be throwing on my tiny 215's and taking off the piaa lights for it.
;D

Little Jeep update.
In the last few months I have installed a CB, Tuffy overhead console, replaced ball joints, and installed some PolyPerformance hood pins.
Today I threw the hardtop on as well.
