An attempt was made to steal my '95 ZJ last night in Killarney SW, although the culprit failed to actually start the Jeep he managed to make a HUGE mess of my door lock, door (pried it open?) and absolutely destroyed my ignition leaving a broken chunk of his "Tool" in it.
Trail cameras are getting put back up in my yard facing towards the other vehicles once again, this f'in neighborhood.... >:(

Seems like there's no ideal neighbourhood to be safe from dirtbags ? High to low- end areas all have fleas.
Makes you wonder if it wasn't just some delinquent teen looking for a joyride ? I can't see any other reason why someone would target an old ZJ , except to go bag it. Judging by the thief's lack of prowess with break-in tools , I'm wagering a dumbass kid.
I've done the trail-cam route as well, but then what ? I've got an image of somebody who would just get a slap on the wrist. I would rather just dispense my own brand of " justice" ... less BS to tie-up our legal system.
Stills sucks though man, I've been in your shoes.

There's been a rash of break-in/thefts out here too. I'm tempted to sit on my porch with a paintball gun, and unload on the little bastards when they come prowling around.

Meh. Even with the negative effect that Obamacare has had on those that actually pay for their own health insurance, people that are gainfully employed still make out better in the US health care system than you will standing in line for your prostate exam in the People's Republik.
As an example....had a pinched nerve, doc wanted to make sure of which muscle was pinching it, got a referral for an MRI, had an appointment at a facility that was convenient for me within 48 hours. Total out-of-pocket price - $20. I've never had an MRI in Canada....but I doubt very much that I'd be able to get an appointment at a time and place that was convenient for me in that short period of time. To be honest, I've had to wait for far longer than that just to get an appointment with a GP in Calgary if I didn't want to wait for 6 hours at a walk-in.

Depends on if it is a WCB related injury or not. If I had hurt my back at home, it would've been a 6-12 month wait. Seeing that it happened at work, I was in the mri 3.5 hours after the Dr said I needed one.
Believe it or not, we have two tiered healthcare here.
