I wonder if they use the same crew as High River?
Either them, or the crew from Surrey that has been "visiting" the homes of people that have owned firearms without incident since before the advent of the long gun registry. You know, the elite team that subsequently confiscated those firearms because their owners had only complied with one of two different sets of laws about how to register their property.

A lot of essential workers started working yesterday combine with shift changes with all the fire fighters and rcmp. There is a need to keep the city safe. But after high river gun grab inquiery findings where. Rcmp officers acted alone and illegally and should not have. All rcmp officers there where aiding and abetting each other. No criminial charges ever laid. Because of this I can never trust an rcmp officer again.

Also, I saw on the news last night that anybody going into the area has to sign a non-disclosure agreement stating they will not tell what they see. What do you suppose thats all about?

An aversion to the publicity that surrounded the wrongdoing in High River.
I agree that there is a legitimate reason to have lots of law enforcement and other services in Ft. Mac....but I also agree that we have hard evidence in front of us from recent natural disasters in other places that opportunists will seize the chance to illegally seize property because it serves their agenda. It was bad enough when the previous federal and provincial governments were in power....I shudder to think what the implications will be with the current combination of governments.

exact same as it was in High River; protocol is almost identical. just waiting to hear that the armed forces will be brought in from Cold Lake any day.
people will be locked out of their home/city for another few weeks while they 'make sure everything is ok'.
who knows what else will happen there. looting, confiscation etc.
I'd like to say this is 'tin foil hat conspiracy theory', however I watched it first hand in High River.......
