What do you mean that you don't know if you can go on trail rides?

Oh, and, XJs RAWK!! Good choice.

i wasnt sure if this is a closed group.
i have heard of groups where its a "members" only thing.
But it sounds like this is not the case here.

There is members as well here. The Open Trail Ride section is open to all.... watch that section for runs.

XJ's are ok.... I have two lol. look out of runs in open run section and come out see what your xj can do, but make sure you have tow points, no need for a winch but tow points are a must. I made the mistake of not having any when I first got into the sport, and being pulled out by the axle is not the preffered method. If you need advise on what upgrades and mods to start out with post up you questions in the tech section and we'll help you out.

and welcome to the jeep addiction.

tow points is a good point, never though of that.
i will sooner or later add bumpers and stuff.
i havent even taken it offroad yet and i am already thinking about lifts and stuff lol

It's easy too get caught up in the modifications and upgrades. But a solid set of tow points and making sure your jeep is in good working order are the first steps. After that get it out wheeling:)

With front and rear tow points, a tire pressure gauge, MT tires in reasonable condition, and a full-sized spare you will find that most of the open runs in Waiparous and McLean Creek will be open to you. I would strongly suggest going on a bunch of those runs and learning as much as you can before you start spending big dollars on mods and equipment.
