It’s supposed to snow a bunch next week but warm up a little for Saturday. It’s a long ways away still but if the trails are full of fluffy snow there could be some fun to be had.
I’ll keep an eye on the weather but if everything stays the way it looks we should get out there.
Figure meet in Cochrane for 9am, gone by 930am. Choose trails accordingly.

Got the chains... now just need someone to check on the dogs.

im in, im in. should be fun

So I’m figuring meeting in Cochrane at the smitty’s parking lot about 9am. It has more room, leaving from there about 930am. Stop at Tim’s or get fuel before that. But meet at the smittys parking lot.
I highly recommend dressing for the weather. Food and water for the day and then some. Tow hooks front and rear. Good tires for sure. Minimum 31’s. If you have tire chains bring them. If not others will have and can get you up the hills.
I have no idea how the day will go. They are saying more snow for the next couple days. Fresh pow pow to play in!

I’m out. 🐾🐾 :(
Well... possibly... will confirm Friday PM.

Sorry :( got an AGM planed for that day.

We rode up to the ice cliffs then did lost knife. The North cut line where Matt and Trevor had issues was snowcovered and not even possible without chains now. Hopefully the continued snow helps. We could also try to run it backwards...
Also -20c and open water fcking sucks...

Probably in

Challenge accepted.

I'll be at Smitty's for 8ish, if anyone else was thinking breakfast.

Great day. Some good videos too https://youtu.be/uN9EyhRIP5s

All that grinding we heard while winching up the trench proved to be a little detrimental to the health of my steering linkage. Jeep doesn’t want to turn left or right much these days. ::)
-
Oh no Matt! Now you'll need a bigger lift, the over knuckle kit and 35s :(

You’ll have to excuse me when I say that your sense of optimism is lost on me right now as I lay here under the jeep trying to figure out how I’m going to straighten this $@&”!! out...
I had to do a 4-point turn to get into my parking spot at work. :o
UPDATE: problem solved. Apparently when I had it in for a wheel alignment about a month ago they neglected to tighten up the steering stabilizer mount sufficiently and with our escapades yesterday, it got pushed further down the shaft. Now that it’s back in the correct position I’m now back to my normal lock-to-lock turning radius. (The 35’s will have to wait...) :D
One of the rods may still have a bend in it but it could’ve been that way before the wheel alignment so we’ll see how it drives tomorrow. ;)
-
Don't tell Raf that you bent a cheap steering component. Next thing you know you'll be regeared, new axles, LOCKED front and rear, and long armed, running 36s.

Glad to hear matt.
Also here's the pic of me on that stupid narrow bridge

ya take that picture yourself? I’m thinking a better one would have been of you crawling out the D/S window. ;)
