The Calgary Jeep Association is pleased to announce our annual Off-Road 101 Course.
This is a one day, family friendly course that is open to anyone that will introduce participants to the basic skills that are necessary during an Off-Road adventure, as well as safe and environmentally friendly practices while on the trail.
Rough outline of the day:
The course will take place at the Mclean Creek off highway land use area. We will be meeting at the Mclean Creek store from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. At 9am we'll start with introduction to off roading instruction, along with various beginner obstacles to get you acquainted with your jeeps capabilities. Around noon we'll have a short lunch break (you’re responsible to bring your own lunch as well as addition food and drinks the rest of the day). Then we'll head out for a trail ride with CJA members providing instruction and support throughout the day. Please note that this is an offroading activity and there is always the possibility that damage and scratches can occur to any vehicle. The trail guides will do their best to prevent / minimize any potential damage to the vehicles, but the potential is always there.
The number of registrants will be limited to 20

Only 2 spots left!

We are officially full. At this point, I will take names for a waiting list in case anyone cancels.
-
Will you be doing another one later this summer ?
My son is interested. I would tag along for the ride.
-
At this time, there are no plans for another event but we will let you know if that changes
-
Hey specialk, if a space opens up, I'm interesting in joining.
-
The weather forecast doesn’t look good for Sat. We will have a couple of easy-up awnings to provide shelter for the educational portion of the day so don’t not come due to the weather.
See ya’ll Sat.

I am very excited about this, I am just wondering what the expected wrap up time of the event will be. look forward to meeting you all on Saturday!

It’s a large group of jeeps to get down the trail. Hard to say when we will be done. It could go smoothly but we suspect it will go later in the afternoon.

I always try to have everyone off the trail and back at the store for around 4. We will do our best to keep to that

Was a great day, i had lots of fun. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Could have rained more lol.

Hello Special K and the rest of the crew. I can't thank you guys enough for the excellent experience my son and I had at the event today. What a great group of individuals, we felt like old friends from the moment we met up.
We will see you Wednesday for the meeting.
Thank you

To those who paid for a membership today.... please pm or send me an email @ [email protected] to let me know you paid... ( I "think" I got everyone marked down properly) and to help me place names to faces again. Anyone else interested in joining our motley crew, just me know and I can pass along forms.

That was a really good group of jeepers out there today. Great attitudes and nice jeeps!
The trail went incredibly smoothly with no major hold ups until we split off for the more challenging section!

Moral of the story.... stay with Kevin.
