Title: New livingstone fluz
Post by: morerpmfred on May 17, 2018, 11:06:13 AM
Just got off the phone with a government representative. Announcement in an hour or so.
This year is the transition year. Next year trail access come onto effect. Sounds like some trails open around macgilvery for us. They want to engage with us to find out what we need for motorized rec trails.
Wheel all the trails down south this summer while you can.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But on the map it says full-size vehicles can only use designated trails and gravel roads. And on the map that’s 3 little purple lines and gravel roads?

Any idea what they are calling the strip along the divide?  I assume no more racehorse or north fork passes.

Nice that they are leaving nothing for trucks.

Here is the map:  https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/aep-livingstone-pluz-summer-map.pdf

Basically no trails.  Even very little for OHV.

started exploring this area bit mostly for camping last year, not sure what it looked like in January but in latest pluz (May/2020) the largest purple 4x4 line is just a gravel road I traveled with my stock xj and trailer on back (2wd), in this latest pluz unless I missed something its purple only to show quads/side-bys can use it from prov campground area to their trails, is this the case with the other 4 or 5 purples - like the loop at L. Falls PRA - just hard packed road purple to show the littler ones can travel it ?

somewhat related, is it posted somewhere why the trail reports blog area was all deleted ?
