Title: for all our students here
Post by: dunl on January 02, 2008, 10:52:11 AM
As some of you know, I'm a teacher by trade, so when I saw this I thought it might be something useful for some of you.

MIT has an online offering of several of their courses available free for download.  You can't get your degree from them online, but the ability to download material useful to your studies free of charge from a prestigious institution like this is absolutely priceless if it relates to your degree.  The cost of one textbook should be enough to make you want to take a look at this.

"MIT's online offerings, published under an open licence that encourages reuse, redistribution and modification for noncommercial purposes, include lecture notes, exams and lecture videos from more than 1,800 courses, virtually all of its curriculum."

Here's the news story:

And here's the link:

Hope this is useful to someone out there.   ;D

nice find!  this is a really cool website.  it can also help many of us still pursuing studies, as well as those who have forgotten many fundamentals in certain fields; for example, i know a lot of people in the financial services field would benefit from a brushup in macro and micro economics.
i'm enrolling in a few myself.  thanks for the links!
