How hard would it be to put a mercedes diesel engine from a sprinter into my 07 rubicon unlimited?

Lots of work probably....but you could sell it to me for $1000 when you're finished. :lol:

J/K....not sure what all is involved in the wiring of the Sprinter engines....but the older 5cyl Mercedes diesels basically just needed a 12v connection to run.

c'mon guys... its got a Fox sticker on the back... that means off road. then again the DUB sticker kinda takes away from it all...

im assuming you want the 3.0L bluetec diesel engine. that in my opinion is a wicked engine. wish they would put it in everything. lots of power all through the rpm range.
but putting it in a JK would be very expensive and not that easy. look for one from a grand cherokee. not sure if there is much choice for transmission and transfer case options. so you may be stuck with whatever its got bolted to it. after that the stock JK rubi axles would handle the power. considering the grand cherokee had a lame aluminium rear dana 44ish thingy out back.
now its pretty obvious by your choice of wheels that you like to waste money, so if thats the case go for the hemi swap. seems to be a few on the market now.

I wish I could fabricate that stuff, those are Off Road Evolution, flares and armour. It is on my wish list.
