When do I get my money?

I've made some really dumb financial decisions over the years and have finally determined I need a bail-out.
How do I go about applying for some of your hard-earned tax dollars to reward me for making dumb decisions?
Obviously I don't need as much as the auto makers are getting but $30 - $40,000,000.00 should just about cover it (and maybe even  put a few bucks away for a rainy day).

Seriously, I think it's a joke the Guvment is handing out over 17 billion dollars to the auto makers.

To put 17.4 billion into prospective, if you spent a million dollars a day, every day, it would take you over 47 years to squander away the 17.4 billion the auto makers are getting and I bet you they'll be back looking for more within a year.

Dont bother the auto makers,get that union OUT!!! the amount of money wasted by the uaw makes the 17 billion look measeley!

what are the auto makers worth they should of baught them and then canada would have there own auto makers

i would be happy with 100 k but 17.4 billion is welcomed

trev i'd be happy with 20$

bailout is stupid: all it would do is let them continue to build obsolete vehicles at ridiculous prices.  the big three, can't compete, they've proven that.  they cannot compete in anything but the fullsize truck market and alas thats only big in places like Alberta and like, i don' t know texas?
these companies need some major restructing, and like many have stated the unions are destroying them.  the original bailout was rejected largely due to the union not budging on certain things. complete BS, now they are gonna get the money from the other bailout package, but without a major restructuring plan, nothing will change.   
personally, if u wanna give em money, do it with a plan, and also negotiate part ownership.   aka, nationalize them........... 
if the state has to bailout a failing company, they take it over for the greater good.

they should just let them go under, have a firesale of assets, and then restructure the companies to fit todays market trends.  maybe toyota will buy chrysler, and finally put an end to the Toyota VS Jeep  thing,  and we can all drive Jeepotas or Toyjeeps hahaha

I agree Eric.
I was in a couple of unions, and they didn't do squat for me. I think that they could be a good idea, but too many people take advantage of them (the unions).

But you know what kinda Kissed me off...is in my pursuit of possibly helping out D/C OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART, by possibly buying a new wrangler...I discover that the 0% financing deal does not apply to this 'good selling' model!

Well as a TAX PAYER I'm floating you a LOAN, which goes against my understanding of Capitalism and if you can't give me the 0% deal on the model I want...I'll see what sort of deal I can float with the receiver when your OUT OF BUSINESS!   ;) ;) ;)

Honestly...the 0%  is really kind of a mental thing, to buy something over a period of time and not have to pay interest is kind of a consumer nirvana.  If the deep discount of employee pricing can make up for the cost of financing etc etc etc  It is all 'in my head' LOL  Right?

Then again...they kind of got me, as no one else really offers anything like a real 'Jeep' right...I mean the Wrangler not the various SUVs with the Jeep logo.  (sigh)
