231 SWAP
« on: January 24, 2009, 05:14:05 AM »
I'm planning on swapping my 91 xj's 231 which has drop brackets for a 231 out of a 99 that has a sye and driveshaft. Is this a straight swap or am I going to have speedo or connection problems?

It all depends on the setup that the 99 t-case came from and what you have ie auto or manual, 4.0L or 2.5L.  You should have an electronic speedo that that should be fine and if you have a vacuum disconnect on the front axle you will have to swap the switch from your t-case over, simple swap though
