The stock WJs with the 4.7 could easily go 200 km/h. I had one up to 170 one time and that was half throttle.

If I took all the stuff off mine and did a bit of tweaking I could get it there.

I took a trip out to Dead man flats this weekend past and Had a hard time not loosing 30kms going up the hills on the way out, lol. But on they way back i was talking to my passenger and looked down and realized i was doing 160km's, I was impressed but slowed back down to 120.
So i know it can do 160 comfortably, but I'm not much of a speeder so it probably will never see that speed again

Agreed... It's rare for me to be anywhere by myself where I can hit those kinds of speeds safely, I will not jeopardize the life of others, it would be me & me only in the jeep & no one around me! I have hit 160 & there was more to push, but it's a jeep.. it's not built for high speeds, it's built for other fun stuff.. Anyone check the speed rating on their tires lately??? I know I haven't... The only time I pushed high speeds (again by myself) was in my Supra.. 240+, who knows how fast I was actually going when the needle was buried..

When I was young and foolish and my XJ was still stock('89 4.0, 5spd), I topped it out at 180km/h.
I know my mom's 5.9L ZJ will go 200km/h.

My girlfriend tends to own fairly fast cars. Her last two were a supercharged mini-cooper and currently a VW GTI.
Even in vehicles designed for relatively high speeds, I don't think that I've exceeded 140 knowingly on a public highway. Even that was for short periods to pass.
In my Jeep? 130 maybe.
