I have to say, your red TJ is the nicest, cleanest Jeep I have EVER seen! Look forward to wheeling with you in the new rig, and to see the changes you make to it,

Joey

Thanx much and same here! One of my upgrades will be a "detachable lead foot"... that way I will have 1/2 a chance of keeping up our boy Bnine  :)

Still got the TJ... I was thinking of selling it but I probabaly wont get 1/2 the money out of it I have in parts alone... not to mention time and effort to install it all.

We should all refuse to sell our rigs for cheap... that way a buyer will either have to build one or buck up and pay a reasonable price.

Rant over... back to the builds  ;)

heres my other toy. it started out as a cheap winter beater

'80 jeep cherokee i paid $400 for. has factory t-176 four speed and a part time 208 t-case. the idea then came to me to see if i could build it into a wheeler for under $1000, including the purchase price. i went ove by maybe one or two hun ;) 8) i did the spring over in the front and a shakle flip with blocks in the rear. scooped a lockright for $80 for the rear. high steer in the front. wheels are factory waggy items from pyp, and the tires are hand-me-downs from my other jeep. still use it as my daily for the most part.

Here's my money pit.  It started out as a YJ frame and tub with a 14 bolt FF and Dana 44 from a Chevy SOA with 4" lift springs :o.  I installed a AMC 360, TF727, Dana 300 and the CJ front clip and custom CJ based dash.  I wheeled it once on the 4" springs and was more than concerned about COG issues.  So I dropped it down to 2 1/2" springs and have had it out a few times feeling considerably more comfortable on hills and off camber stuff but I think I am going to go back to stock springs SOA on 38"s and cut to fit.  I have somehow changed from bigger is better to lower is better in the last year.

Its nothing special just a junk yard dog that works not too bad on the trails but there's lots of room to improve.

94 YJj7, AMC360,T176,Dana300(twin stick, Dana 44 4:56, 14 bolt FF welded 4:56, 2 1/2" susp SOA, 38/12.5/15 TSL's, warn 8274,  Custom dash

Okay,

So I am Jeep noob.  Just bought mine in Aug 09.  Here is the progress made since I purchased it in chronological order.  It is a 2000 TJ Sahara.

The day I brought it home

The day I put some Moabs from a 05 rubi on it.

The day I put on the 32's and the classic II's

The day after I put on the flares and painted the top with Krylon Fusion paint (Mar 17)

The fluid under the jeep is clear and scentless, appearing to be water..

So it is pretty mild, it is on the stock ride height with 32x11.5 MT/r's on Mickey Thompson Classic II's, Bushwacker 6" urethane fenders, and Cheap HID's.  I also painted the roof black to match the flares and the wheels and bumpers.  I havent taken it out on a trail to "wheel" but using it for work, I havent had any issues with rubbing, just in case you are wondering.

Plans include a custom rear bumper with a swing out, possibly a new front bumper, some metal sliders and some work inside.  There is a slim possiblity of a avenger supercharger as well.
