Who knows anything about this Jeep
« on: April 04, 2010, 05:21:01 PM »
So I recently bought this Jeep and am trying to track down some information on it without having to spend a day crawling around under it (Although I bet that will happen anyways).

If someone has some info it would be appreciated thanks.

Looks to be red w/ after market gas cap, 4" lift, 33" Toyo Open Country MT's on steelies, modified Poison spider flat fenders, CJ signal lights, rubicon rocker guards, Steering box skid plate, it's a sport (not a rubicon) so probably D30 & D35, its got stock seats, tow hooks, a hard top, it can go where white Ford F-150's can go... and its dirty.

Other than that... I got nuthin  :)

Haha I like the attempt there.

Tires are actually Cooper Discovery STT.
And sadly it isn't even a Sport.  Just a little 4cyl under the hood.
Reason I ask the question is that it had the CJ signals so I was trying to figure out what else was done.  The front diff has an aftermarket cover so now I'm trying to see what else I should do in general to the Jeep.

Found his photo album and it's definitely his old Jeep.  I have to rip open the rear axle one day here as that's got a bit of a leak to it.  But other then that it did a hell of a job in Waiparous this weekend.  Now to just figure out whats all in it....  :)

Ian is still on the website as far as I know.....I bet he'd give you all sorts of info on it.

Actually, I assume you bought it from him?

Nothing particlularly unique about that jeep.

Drivetrain is all relatively stock.

Has a small lift, and teraflex belly up.

Its a fairly stock rig.

I dont know if he ever fixed the missing cat and 02 sensor. If not, you will want to do that.

hah yea he fixed it.  used 1/2 tank of gas before we got to the trail head and had to use chainsaw gas to get out the other side.  that's also the day he had to step on the gas to go downhill.  fixed it soon after that.

It's definitely got an e-fan swap of some variety, I didn't get a chance to identify the fan though.
