Two runs as there was a large turn out.  We did the top of the world and mini top of the world on one run. Great views and great people.
A couple of the jeeps did straight up and the rest of use did the bypass above the old gravel pit / informal shooting range . And then to tote  .
then we went north down the hill hanged a left and went to mini top of the world. Half way up there was some carnage with a rear yoke self destructing on one of the jeeps. An hour later we where at mini top of the world and the out.  Derick said some thing interesting as he is  new here from Belgum (sp)  " You guys do not know what you have here ".
A big thank you to all the people and the sponsers to the S&S  as well as the organizers.

Excellent run yesterday. I had been day dreaming on Google Earth the other day trying to find a fix for my craving to crawl rocks. I wanted to plan a trip out to B.C. or to Montana just to tackle some trails with enough rocks to satisfy and I had completely forgot what McLean had to offer. That's what happens when you stop going to a place just to avoid being grouped in with a bunch of people who abuse what we do have.
It was a real pleasure wheeling with Derick as it brought back memories of my first day out with my stock Rubicon. Derick summed it up best when he told us how truly lucky we all are that we have such beautiful places to play in. It was great to meet new people and fantastic to be out with the club again. Since moving out to Brooks I haven't had the opportunity to get out with you guys much but it was good to see some of the old familiar faces at the show and shine. Oh and a big thanks to Billy for sorting out my T-Case linkage problems on the ramp.

We had a great time doing Top of the World (backwards from my usual route) and there was enough of a challenge for all of the jeeps in our group. Kyle suffered a broken rear driveshaft but was able to drive the rest of the way out and other than that we all made it out okay. I was happy to have made it through a couple of obstacles that I had not tried before and I was pleased with the overall performance of my jeep. I hope to make it back out for a few more runs this year and look forward to seeing new friends again in the future.
Oh one last thing. If anyone has any pictures of my jeep please send me a PM. I am seriously lacking off road pictures of my jeep.

second group went out to the falls.  it was an easy run but i enjoyed it.  hiked into the falls and pointed at all the people on the other side.  no carnage, nothing crazy!

when mud started coming in through my drain plugs in the floor, i backed up Wink
(no floor plugs = mud gets in = i know its too deep. )

To be honest, I was a little bit suprise to the performace of my stock Rubicon ... f*ck me does that thing perform or what ... I was already in Love, but after yesterday I might have to marry my Jeep ... (and yes that is a Belgian thing: we are alowed to marry ours cars ... with the right paperwork done off course )

Anyway, met a lot of interesting people, had a great run, couldn't be a more perfect day for me ...

Bleh, I had doors and a hard top, and I wouldn't do it!  But I'm also running stock tires without any lift, and after watching the Cherokee, I was thinking I might need a snorkel to tackle that.
