update:

decided to ditch the all terrains and went with a new MT.  ordered up some Michey Thompson MTZs in the 33" flavour, thanks to Dale (ESI)  they are on procomp wheels. 4.5" backspace, thinking its not enough but will be good for now.   some poser pics coming up.

i added a rear 1" spacer to level out the rear and make some new room.  i still need to do some work here. i need to do some fender 'modification' and add some more bumpstop up front (haven't put any in yet) lift is now settled in at abou 4.5" or so i think.  i will post pics after i hack out some fender as well :)

so now some goodies:d

picked up an 8.8 from Jamey (the machinist) today :)   it is a 3.73 gear ratio and should match up good in the ZeeJay.  it does have drum brakes however, i can swap my disks over from my D44a to make them work and retain my disks!
Jamey also tossed in a full spool too.  at this time im unsure if i will run the spool or not;  i would have to get rid of the c clip axles, so i'm pondering running a super 88 kit too.
or an aussie, i haven't decided yet to be honest.
also picked up the ironrockoffroad 8.8 bracket kit from jeepsgrand on the board (his jeep met its tragic end, in my garage actually)  i will tell you, it is a beefy kit.  i will have to go talk to Jay soon :D

so quick update.  burnt in the brackets on the 8.8 and welded the tubes with a nickel rod.  that was a PITA.  but done, looks not half bad.   also grabbed some brake brackets from pnp for my discs.  however the ebrake backing plates were fubared.  i'm debating just leaving the ebrake assembly completely off.  might as well, seeing as im ditching ABS too ;)

so just needs me a locker now.  sticking with 3.73 gears.  right now i'm not sure if i wanna go with an aussie rear and elocker front, or elockers all around........

once and its been sitting since  :p  its ok Simon. i know you want my jackstand title ;)  at least your XJ looks good unlike all those other ugly red ones ;)
hopefully there will be some more progress now that we have the house stuff settled. i've got a garage full of parts ready to go, and hopefully some sliders built by apeman here soon.  would like to be ready to beat on it for the summer.

still have:
front ds to swap
TJ shafts
sliders
rear bumper (pook!)
couple leaks to fix (rear main and tcase front output)

for the axles, i have to finish the 8.8. that includes
brakes: (have em, should be fine now)
elocker installed
install in jeep
add rear adj. trackbar.

other fun stuff:
i hope to do front elocker soon
OBA
steering of some sort.

i guess the list never ends

You realize that a  green ZJ is the equivalent of a red XJ in the Grand Cherokee scene? Seems like 3/4s of the ZJs out the are that forest green.

Sorry mine's black. You have to pick another color. Try red. I hear its popular.
