A cheap RE component that didn't last? Who would have expected that?
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

yup. but at the time it was either this, which was on the shelf or wait a month for something else.  i was daily drivin it at the time, so i needed one.

i have a plan; i'm gonna build a boot for the heim, and fill it with grease, see if it helps keep it alive longer.  then sometime after the wedding and money's a little less tight order up an IRO double sheer or something along those lines.

but for now this gets me back on the road.

Why do people always assume that poor planning is a valid excuse bad decisions..................

How much is that 10$ heim at modern? It probably wont match this for quality but cost at least double

More then likely it will resemble this

Hi! Changed my stock track bar for the adjustable one. Just wanted to know something about Rubicon Express. Has anyone here experience noise when you installed it onto the Jeep? What could be the problem? I tried to follow the instructions and thought everything will be okay. However, when I turn steering it creates a noise that something might be loose.

Try tightening down both ends. The holes wallow out over time and it may not be as tight as you think it really is.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

Bit old this post but here is my take on HEIMs - I WILL NOT USE ANY HEIM. They are good for a short while what they were designed for. BTW - you can buy rubber grease seal boots for most HEIMs if you still want to use them. I would like to see Transport Canada ban them for on road vehicles. Trust me I had experience on a high performance car with them. Never again for anything.
