Project fugly payoff
« on: May 02, 2012, 07:39:06 PM »
Alright, as I will be unable to attend either run on the 5th, and my gears will not be broken in yet.
I am proposing a run on Saturday May 12. This will NOT be a stocker run (sorry, I do like the easier scenic routes, normally).  This is the shakedown of project FUGLY.  McLean... Of course. Trails to be determined

Requirements:
min 32"ish.
Tow points front and rear.
Common sence stuff (water, food, etc)
Recovery equip. Pleeease
Winch... would be nice
Cb... Yup

Meet at the store to air down and BS
Time, 9:00 am

I have a make shift one you can borrow.  I made a semi portable unit plugs into your cigarette lighter. And a magnetic antenna.  Youre not gonna get long range but at least you'll be able to hear and BS with us.

This is definitely happening. Jamal (jrama) has put together a few trails we will be doing as he is very familiar with Mclean and I am not.
He has said this:

"I was thinking we will run a trail that shoots from the falls to fishwest that comes out at the fish east/west junction, depending on the situation we can than head up the steps and down northside top of the world (hills and some decent mud for sure). Neither trail poses much of a threat in terms of body damage or damage in general. So you can post up that there is low chance of body damage and see how people like that. I have taken near stock rubicon JKU's through both trails, both trails proved challenging for them."

Thanx Jamal for doing this.
Also Dave (Broken Axle) will be joining us to see the fruits of his labor in action.

I can't wait, its been soooo long and I hope to see you all out there

I am hoping there will be lots of interest, so we can meet new people
