That will be difficult to decide.  Most areas are closed due to the rain.

If you go on Alberta Government website, SRD pages there is a complete listing of closed and open campsites (government run ones only).
With all the rivers and creeks being at high levels and flows I don't think the fishing will be very good.

You could go north up to Dickson damn. There used to be the most delicious rainbows and perch. Butter, flower, salt & pepper, a squeeze of lime, and just a teeny dash of franks red and you have yourself a party. Yum I'm hungry.

cold and a muddy bottom

That sounds like a girl I used to know.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

They are asking that people do not go out...to avoid damage with the waterlogged soil.

Updated June 24: Avoid backcountry travel in areas south of the Red Deer River to Waterton
The public is being asked to stay out of the Rocky Mountain Forest Reserve due to damage from the recent flooding. DO NOT TRAVEL BEHIND ROAD CLOSURE SIGNS and BARRICADES. Many major roads are still out and the trails systems are severely damaged. Damage is currently being assessed; backcountry closures are pending in many areas.
The Rocky Mountain Forest Reserve includes the Livingston Porcupine Area and the following Public Land Use Zones:
Ghost
Kananaskis Country
McLean Creek
Sibbald Creek
Cataract Creek
Willow Creek
Alison Chinook
The Castle Special Management Area
Until further notice, avoid July long weekend backcountry travel and camping plans in these areas. The landscape has already been severely damaged by flooding – more damage will occur if these areas are used in this condition. Staying out of these areas will leave staff free to continue with other important recovery work.

There are road closures/washouts/major repair work/flood-related stuff stretching all the way from the junction of HWY 40 and HWY 47 (near Robb, just south of HWY 16) all the way down to the Crowsnest. You may find that this is a less than ideal weekend to head into the mountains - even HWY is apparently down to 1 lane right now.
