back at it; 92YJ

wife gets a baby, so I get a jeep.  since i'm not allowed to name our baby 'wheeler' I get to work on a new YJ; maybe she'll grow to be a square headlights kinda jeeper

lol
so the ZJ met its demise; (you were right Billy) smoked the tranny and engine was pooched.  she will live on in the YJ though; saving/using a lot of parts
found this Gem on kijiji and moved on it quick.  its a 92 YJ sport. 4L 5spd. 240k. it is a one owner jeep from Kelowna. basically rust free. I had to jump on it. I paid 1500$ for it. gal that had it drove it up here, blew the rad (among other issues it had) and I snagged it off her.  As you can see, it shares a striking resemblance to Beltloops/Bubblegum Yj that I sold and regret every day.

so the basic specs. 4L 5spd.  has the half doors. no hardtop; just soft. runs good actually. what I've done thus far:
full tune up, fluids etc. redid the cooling system, new fan, rad, water pump. jeep DID NOT have power steering. however Eric (hps4evr) hooked me up with a ton of parts cheap including full power steering, so now she runs great.
still needs some odds and ends and i'm bringing it to Brokenaxle to safety next week then I can start getting after modding it.

the basic plan for now:
33s off the ZJ
M8000 winch
zone 4" lift off Brokenaxle soon
TJ flares to make room and look good
rear besttop swingout tire carrier
picked up a cheap locker from Kevin so i'm locking the D35 until I grenade it.
rear bumper of some sort
all the other stupid odds and ends we do to jeeps.

the plan is a very basic build for now; with a kid on the way I won't have the time. future plans will include real axles and likely 37s but that's a ways away; not really on the radar right now.
pretty stoked though.

Will it need an OOP (Out of Province)?  Those inspections are a pain.
Buy some safety glasses.
You can jackoff with a fake hand but you cant see out of a glass eye.

OK Johnny... now that the ZJ is gone we can talk again ;D

How do you intend to mount those mud flaps on this new project...the "mole lady" gets meaner and uglier every year.

Mudflaps? Why you gotta go get all fancy-fied on us Ron? Everyone knows that red-blooded eye-tal-yan rednecks use floormats.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

wifes preggers, demands are high; nursery, all sorts of kid crap and now we are gutting the floors, hardwood laminate blah blah blah. just finished the basement are starting upstairs. I took a week off work to do all this but me being me, naturally crap has taken a lot longer than anticipated, so if i'm lucky i'll get the floors done then start on the jeep.

its basically sat hiding in the garage since I got it. done a few things; TJ flares, a rear swing out attached, some basic maintenance stuff, but nothing major. I guess I could do that part up.... been to busy to even fart around on the interwebs.

don't have kids Joey lol

ok  pics f my slow progress haha

tj flares but not I haven't cut yet.. will do when lift goes int

best top swing out. bought off Fug. pretty cool. nice mod to a fancy swing out bumper
