Couple flex shots Flex shots!

The. Promptly after this I grenaded the transfer case. Snapped the main shaft in half. Drove home in front wheel drive until it completely let go

update;
swapped transfer cases and she's up and running again.  also started working on my 4.10 diffs.  just pulling them apart and the front needs new hubs at least. gonna do  new brakes as well. ujoints are toast in the axles but that's ok because I have a set of good shafts with new ujoints.  no locker...... for now in the front.

rear well, the stock brakes could be reused but drums are cheap and easy now that I've messed with them enough before. will be doing new ones. looks like new axle seals are needed at the same time.  why not? also have the aussie that's going in tomorrow. shouldn't be an issue I hope haha. looking forward to getting them installed so I don't have to downshift into 3rd on hills haha.

other stuff on the table. picked up some raised motor mounts to get rid of tcase drop and some BDS shackles. they will go on with axle swap. nice and beefy.

also bedlined the interior. gatorguard. love it haha. looking for some cavalier seats to upgrade at some point here.  but I think it came out good

Reminds me of another YJ.... Beltloops was her name.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.

That's only because your beltloops are missing from the prior mishaps. Lmao

so a quick update. haven't really posted anything up in a bit.

had some time off work being home. got some stuff done although i didn't really get much done considering how much time i had off.  and no pics just cause.

finally got around to my 4.10 diffs.  installed them in the jeep, the rear with an Aussie locker in it. install went clean. installed all new rear brakes (still drums. i'm lazy) replaced all the hardlines i could see. new seals, bearings etc.
up front I rerouted my front lines so i dont' rip em off. new brakes up front too.
new hubs, and ujoints up as well.
installed my BDS shackles with new poly framebushings and greaseable bolts (which i actually don't like lol)
new ujoints in all driveshafts
'new' transfer case after grenading my old one. this is a post 96" XJ unit so it has the slip outside of the tcase which is nice; it won't leak fluid if i pull DS.
all new fluids in everything
new steering box cause mine was crap. new dropped pitman arm put in at the same time.
finally wired up a CB with a new whip and even bought an SWR meter so i can dial it in and use it.

running pretty good now. next projects are new seats (Sunfire or Cavalier) poison spyder cage and maybe some sort of steering setup over the knuckle.
have also been considering building a bit of a truss on the rear turdy-5 to help with flex and stuff. just a homebrew thing.  so far i have like, 150$ into this 4.10 locked diff, so thats not bad costwise.  i figure i have 3 diffs worth of spare parts before i upgrade it.

Nice. Do the seats sooner than later. Cav seats rule. Remember to shim the back or you'll point at the ceiling.
