Looks to be doing pretty well for an XJ.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

At first I thought is was the way XJ guys do wheelbase stretches but if you closely, it appears there are stress cracks around the hatch hinge area.

Haha.

They're holding up great!

I'm surprised he didn't rip his front axle off first.

I am failing to see how this happened....something must have yanked on the rear axle for it to get that far away from the rig, whilst holding onto the front axle. I call foul play and stand strong with my XJ's!!  ;D

Probably high centred and an over-eager driver gave him a good tug backwards.
I doubt it happened just going over that particular obstacle.

Too bad he forgot the long travel slip joint in the driveshaft.

At least the rear quarter windows are ok. Those things are a bear to replace.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

A little JB Weld and Duck tape, it'll be back on the trail in no time.
