Plastic VS Metal fuel tank
« on: February 12, 2016, 02:50:53 PM »
I'm contemplating replacing the fuel tank in my XJ, anyone have  experience with the plastic tanks?
What are your thoughts of the plastic ones vs the OEM metal, good, bad, same?

Nothing wrong with plastic, they will flex and pop back vs denting. Won't rust out, lighter.  Usually you still run a steel skid plate over it though.
