Cherokee 4.0 oil filter adapter
« on: April 10, 2016, 11:39:19 AM »
Have any of you guys removed or repaired the oil filter adapter on a 4.0 in a '90's Cherokee?
The centre bolt is being a biotch, and there is a good oil leak from the block to adapter O-ring.
Any tips or tricks?

Probably easier to pull the entire motor and replace it with a 4bt.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

Changed mine. Bolt was like  locktight in. Bigger snipe bar.
