Parting out a '96 XJ & a JK all black front bumper
« on: July 14, 2016, 12:39:00 AM »
Hey everyone,

I now have 4 vehicles and a motorbike in my new oversize 2 car garage (believe it or not), so at least one must go!  At least 3 of them are jeeps though  :)

Here's my situation:  I have a '94 Cherokee that we use all the time, and a '96 that I don't drive anymore.  It would be nice to keep some "easy fix" parts for the '94 just in case, but I would really like to see the rest of the '96 parts go to good homes.  The '96 runs fine, it's a 4 door, 4.oL High Output inline 6, 5 speed manual, nearly 400k, just having issues like some doors don't work well, the hood opening cable is broken (so I don't dare close the hood), the driver's seat wobbles etc. so that's why I'm not driving it anymore.  I should also mention that I am the original owner, if that makes any difference.

I'd like to keep the wheels (at least the rubber) for the '94, and starter motor, and a few little things like wiper arms and maybe lights... but if you're interested in anything else, like the motor, please let me know!  Like I said, I'd like to see her pieces go to good homes rather than to the crusher.  There's a class 3 hitch on it too if anyone wants it.  I'm open to offers for parts, or for the right price, I'd sell the whole thing if someone would want it as a project, and I'll just keep the money in a repair kitty to keep the '94 going!  Recycling at its best.  For the whole thing, I'd like to get around $1500 (since it's got about $1000 of GoodYear DuraTrac rubber on it - only used them a few months before I parked it).

Also, if anyone knows anyone interested in an all black stock '13 Rubicon front bumper - it probably saw less than 100km of action in its life before I took it off for the ARB...

Bring your own tools / engine hoist etc.  I'm just getting set up and don't have all the fancy tools yet... a few, but not many.

HA!  The motorbike is not for sale...  ;)  I can only part with one baby at a time, and I'm too cheap to buy another one of those!

Here's the Kijiji link.  There are a couple of photos and details there.  Down to $500 if I can keep the rubber.
