TJ Belly-Up Skid
« on: November 07, 2016, 12:17:29 PM »
for sale is a belly Up skid for 2003 and up TJ.    tranny mount can be modified for 97-02 mounting.

3/16th Steel construction.  This is the legendary "Vinman belly up skid"

save inches on your belly like Vince.

description from internet:
The BellyUp increases your ground clearance by up to 2-3/8? by replacing the factory skid plate with a lower-profile heavy duty skid plate. The BellyUp is manufactured with stronger and heavier materials than the stock plate to provide superior protection to your undercarriage. A 1? body lift is recommended with Rubicon applications for proper transfer case clearance. Some exhaust adjustment may be necessary. Fits all TJ Wrangler models including the Rubicon and Unlimited.

Hello there

Im interested in the Belly up Skid plate--is it made by Terra flex?

Will it be compatible with my 2006 TJ with a 2.5" suspension lift?

Will there be any mods necessary to fit?

Tks for your time

This is a custom fabricated skid that is compatible with your jeep.  This will require mods to your
Jeep like adjustable control arms, SYE, shock relocation bracket, motor mount lift and body lift.

Or run a spacer and install it normal but as a flat skid with no ridges to catch on stuff.

I have the Teraflex belly up kit and you need a lot to get this done right.  Like the original poster said, adjustable control arms, SYE driveshaft to name a few.  With a 2.5 inch suspension and a belly up, you will have about 5 inches of lift on that shaft.
