McLean Creek, Sunday July 1st
« on: June 21, 2018, 10:02:02 AM »
Meeting at the store at 9:30am on the trails shortly after that.

I'm giving myself a hard deadline on having my TJ back together.  So I'm thinking an easy day, Top of the World, then down to the new newly (should be) reopened Fisher west area to see the wildfire damage.

Stock friendly, Just have  front and rear tow points, and a full sized spare.
Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Extra Water, Lunch, Etc

If it's raining the ride is still on.

Forecast shows probable rain in the afternoon. Ride is still on!

If it's not reopened Probably Quirk... we can still do Quirk after the fact too.

Hmm, some of those corners near the top of Quirk are not stock “unltd” friendly.  ???

We've made it with a stock JKU Rubicon, they definitely aren't friendly but they're do-able.

If there's a bunch of stock JKUs we'll adjust the trail as needed :)

I am in. Is Quirk very muddy? I don't want to spend the whole day washing my jeep, it is my daily drive.

Quirk is not muddy at all. Maybe a little on the first part of the trail if it’s wet. It’s a climb up to the top of a big hill. The top section is very technical. Tight fit between rocks and trees. Some drop offs along the way. Great views though.

Thanks hps4evr, I am definitely in if it's not muddy.

My tj only have front locker, 31'' and 2'' lift, no swaybar though. I watched videos on youtube people drive down from top of the world, pretty scary. Hope I my jeep can do it. See you guys next Sunday.

Depends what this means as I don't have kids.  If they're fine Tagging alone in the jeep for the trails then they'll have a blast!  But if they get stir crazy and need out of the jeep every 30 minutes they might not enjoy themselves.  There's no plans to stop for excessive time, but we will stop at the Top of the World and at Quirk Ridge for photos and at probably for lunch at either quirk or somewhere.

Also hoping to be off the trail around 4.

Ok cool.  Just wasn't sure if people didn't want kids hanging around.  They love hitting the trails.  See you on Sunday!
