Something for early February
« on: January 05, 2019, 07:06:10 PM »
Ok so Domino will be trail ready this month and I have clearance from my Docs that I can go out wheeling in Feb...so if any of y’all would like to do something relatively low key...it has been 5 years.  I would love to get out and do a run.

Was thinking something like Lost Knife...open to suggestions though.

Thoughts???

There are a few possibilities.  Gonna talk to some of the senior members (by that I mean old codgers) and see what we can get set up.

Mid week isn’t impossible for me but weekends are easier.

The only weekend we can is Feb 3rd. Other then that weekdays are free depending on the date.

I could make the 3rd work....thoughts on a run Matt?  Been a few years and the FLUZ have changed since I have been out.

I won’t be able to confirm the third until about a week before when I have a better idea of my February schedule.
As far as a route, Lost Knife sounds like a good start... all depends on weather conditions between now and then.

I will be up 3 inches and on 37’s after Monday so Lost Knife would be no issue.  I can make the 3rd work.

Will we have enough rigs to make it worthwhile....prob need at least 3.   I can run tail be nice to have a few more.   Hell I will even cook us up some steaks for lunch somewhere along the way.

I did say it would be a good “start”...  8)
then trail marker 88-95... and see what we’re up for after that.  ;)

And yes, at least 3 capable rigs would be nice 👍

Look up the “Ghost” PLUZ map on the AEP.alberta.ca site:
http://aep.alberta.ca/recreation-public-use/recreation-on-public-land/public-land-use-zones/default.aspx

There’s a georeferenced PDF map showing the trail system and numbered markers.

Sorry guys.

I just realized that is Super Bowl Sunday.  It’s an annual thing I do with my kids...haven’t missed in 8 years, I can do the 2nd but not the 3rd.

So unless a date change I am out for this one.
