Proposed trail act

What I like about this when it applies to gamp ( ghost access management plan) is there are 3 parts to gamp and 2 parts have never been put in use.
The first part is close all the trails and keep the sustainable trails open.
The second part is make all the trails sustainable by re-engineering them and rerouting the trails and building bridges as required for use.
And the third part is maintaining the trails for use.
Part 2 and 3 have never been applied.
With a funding mechanism this is all doable.

I hope they talk to us first. I’m all for a pay-to-use area. As long as I’m not paying to drive down gravel roads. Keep the trails open. Make new sustainable trails. Repair old trails.

Once the plan is up and running they expect revenues of $45 mill a year which 100% of monies goes into trail development , maintenance and enforcement.
So if all of southern Alberta got $5 mill from this. Then thats 5 mill that we have never had for the ghost, livingstone and porkies.
Little perspective the back country flood trails rehab program received 3 mill over 3 years.

Figures are out. Should have been 4.5 mill expected annual revenues.

we did a bunch of trail survey back in the days for GAMP... with pics and GPS coordinate.  It's of course all changed now due to Mother Nature... We also did a course with the ASRD to rebuild trails.  That's still good. A few of us got passes to survey... plan 2 started but stalled way before the NDP.

Our passes have expired.... a long time ago. That was definitely fun going down those old trails, legally.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!
