The falls

We went to the falls on Sunday. We got close to the falls and found at location 135 there were also signs saying Provincial Park No motorized Vehicles beyond this point.
Checked the official GAMP map this evening and indeed that is the end of the trail. And the edge of the provincial park. So if you want to go to the falls i guess you have to park and hike the remaining 400 metres to the falls. The problem being is the small area at 135, It is a tight area to turn around, especially if you are part of even a small group, and if someone had parked and hiked the rest of the way, then you would have a problem turning around

The simple solution to this would be for SRD to make a slight change to Don Getty border and allow us to drive the last 400m. Where there is ample parking and room to turn around.
So if anybody from SRD is reading this it would be nice of you to make this small change.
I know 400 m is not a long way to walk, if you have the ability to walk, not everyone does, due health concerns etc. Especially on the snow and ice.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

Ian, I think the reason the signs are where they are is because there is a lack of confidence for descending that last hill by SRD with their full sized 3/4 ton with the signs in the back, so they feel it safer to erect them at the top.
Isn't Magaret Lake trail and The Falls trail the only trails with hills on them? If those are what you want to call hills.

You maybe right, Gunther. But according to my GPS and the GAMP map it is the edge of Don Getty Park. Strange how the park borders seems to expand a little every time a new map comes out.

The expansions are not only Don Who? I,ve been doing some research and have noticed various parks have been expanded over the last 5 or more years. Once I'm done with something I'm putting together you'll be able to see exactly what I'm talking about.
Between expanding boundries and mysteriously sending cats out to demolish trails we're lossing trails at alarming rate.
