axle-diff upgrade question.

Say if you upgraded your d35 to a shaft w/30 spline count. You have to do make sure that the diff gears are upgraded to accept that spline counts as well.

Now, would you then have to upgrade your frond axle to 30 as well (even if the gear ratio was the same)?

Would you have to do anything to the drive shafts or yokes or the TC?

No, you can do one at a time, the d35 is the weaker link so do it first.
But you should think about if this is the right way to go. The weak part of the D35 are the axle tubes, they are thinner than more beefier axles, this causes the axle shafts to flex, eventually breaking. The best way to go is to truss the d35 and put in the super 35 kits, or is the best way to go ?... put in a D44 from a later model jeep with the disc brakes. Another common upgrade is to find a Ford 8.8 out of a explorer with disc's and use that.
Think about where you want to end up with your jeep, and spend your money once on the right axle. If you stay with 33's  then the super 35 will probably be fine. If you are thinking 35's then maybe a better axle.
There will be lots of different opinions on this one though
