A Person is Smart buy People are Stupid
« on: February 18, 2008, 08:07:46 PM »
Today was one of the nicest days all winter so the wife and I decided to go for a drive to Lake Louise for a late lunch. There is a really nice sandwich shop at the bottom of the hill. On the way back Krista decided that we should stop in Banff and get some fug from the Fug Factory.
What a mistake this turned out to be, I drove around for 20 min looking for a parking spot. I wish people would learn how to park. You do not need a space one foot to small for me to park a Toyota Corolla between you and the next car in parking lots or on the street.
I grew up in Ontario and spent a lot of time driving in Ottawa, Montréal, and Toronto. These people in Banff need to go to one of these cities and learn how to walk in a city. They where walking on the street, darting across at the most inconvenient time. (Think they where playing chicken with the cars). Also they need to learn that the light on the pole with a hand that looks like it is saying stop, means “stop, don’t walk”. But across the road they go without even looking. From my experience in the cities this is a good way of getting hit. Actually I think that the cabbies in Toronto get a bonus for hitting these types of people.
Don’t get me all wrong here I am not against people walking I love to walk. I gust would like to be able to park in the town I have traveled to and then walk around. I also know about the “pedestrian gets the right of way” law, but as pedestrians be curdiest to the drivers they are trying to become pedestrians and they are a lot bigger than you.
The lesson I have learned today is on the next long weekend I am not going to Banff.
Why does your Jeep say Toyota on it?
The obstacle is the path.

No, those people need to go to London, England to learn how to walk. Rest assured, they will not Jay-walk twice.
