not treading so lightly :(

in the last couple of years a very very steep hill was scared up on the edge of
our neighborhood so they put these huge boulders at the base of it to
stop traffic ...

so yesterday in the pouring rain on the way out I noticed a new 4x white pickup
sitting at the base of it, not totally unusual with alot of construction
nearby ... but when I returned about an hour later the police
and wrecker where there,  no he/she didnt roll it - I could see now where they
tried to carve a couple of new routes/trenchs up about 30 feet ... am thinking
they lost footing and slid back into a boulder they wiggled inbetween probably
taking out the rear diff ...

I was thinking truck mfgs including jeep might want to start displaying the
tread lightly slogan in bigger print ... you know those commericals that say
"on closed track! - dont do this! - tread lightly!" etc but the prints so small you
cant read it ... not that its to blame for this incident but for more prominent
awareness cause it appears some are leaving the dealership and cant wait to get out
of the suburbs to lock it in low, or another thought came to mind is they could expand the
conditions on your drivers license ... the one where if you wear glasses you
got to have them on, if you got a transfer case you need to have taken a tread
lightly course ...

bet a couple of hundred cars went by while the 4x was sitting there busted ...
thats 200+ people who's opinion of 4x'ing might very well have been decided
that morning ...

think I need to join a club to help me cope, not sure what else to say, just disappointed
to see ...
