im a first time jeep buyer.
im lookin at getting an 89 yj that needs new upper and lower ball joints.
it has a 350ci motor in it and the timing skipped a tooth.
advice??
how expensive will these items be to fix??
recomended place to do this?
-
fraserr7, I'd stay clear - simply cause it sounds like you'll farm out the work,
unless its priced like scrap metal look for a good solid runner - 91'up 4L ;)

Fraser, sending you a PM. There's one up here in Red Deer without a top or doors, but priced right and supposedly in good condition.
I agree, stay away unless it's priced like dirt, but being a first timer, I imagine you're looking for a running unit that you don't have to spend time on.

eek,.. 350 that skipped a tooth?
what the heck was he doing to stretch the chain and make it skip,..
I would have him fix so I can hear it running before I would consider it.

Have to be cheap to make it worth it. Unless you can do the work yourself .... run forrest run.

i decided to stay clear of it.
