figure if i can't sell it gonna make it kickass cool. looking for lifts, found a few, just looking for any kind of feedback. first is Iron Rock Offroad.. heres what ya get http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IROR&Product_Code=IR-W_4LK&Category_Code=PFW i've never heard anything of this kit/company. from the looks of it, seems like its just a rough country lift.
second is from Zone offroad. i found the kit on ebay, and when i went to the website, nothing for the WJ.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUSPENSION-LIFT-KIT-4-99-04-JEEP-GRAND-CHEROKEE-WJ_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33585QQihZ014QQitemZ330272808673QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
by the way i think i suffer from Jeepitis or something. this could be the second lift i've ordered in a week, and might go grab some bigger meats too. that'd be two lifted jeeps in a week. i need a girl friend or something

nice cant wait to see

Hey John,
have you checked out kevinsoffroad? he seems to know alot about the grands.
T
-
yea i checked kevins, mostly back in the day of the ZJ. but i was just on his site, and all he really has is a budget boost and a kickazz long arm setup. dont' need something so extravagant is the problem. i called northshore offroad today to check the availability of one of those zone kits, and maybe a BDS kit too. also will check in at modern when 'm there picking up my rubicon lift and tires for the YJ too
-
So what do you think the price will be for the lift kit after the exchange rate, customs fees & shipping? Any thoughts on the old Man Emu option where they supply after market front springs in the kit and you use your factory fronts on the rear. saves a buck and apparently works well. Anyone with any experience? Is North Shore cheaper than Modern for stuff?
-
Call IRO, I had a great experience when I ordered from them, I didn't pay any import/duty since it falls under NAFTA. The guys there will do everything possible to keep the price down. The F<R swap requires V8 springs for it to work right, but I havent heard of it being done on a WJ.
North shore, and very possibly IRO, will be cheaper than National and Modern, both of which overcharge just because they can.

update on this for anyone wondering. i called northshore, the Zone lift is 750 to my door, from Vancouver, no shipping, etc...... thought that was a good deal, still is. think i'm gonna just stick with the 2" right now though.........

Ironrock offroad offers some nice kits for the 99-04 Grands.. I have the 6.5" long arm(front)on my 02 WJ overland and it is a flex monster... they also offer the same kit at 4.5" of lift
-
he sold the WJ a while back....

Johnny,
i did alot of research on WJ lift before i did mine. IRO has a very good reputation, and it seems alot of people prefer them to any other. The Zone kit is pretty new and the guy i got my OME kit from upgraded to Zone, and spoke really highly of them too. I think either is a good choice, whatever you can get over the border easier i guess
-
i just realized this is an old thread
-
lol thanks guys,
ya kai, got rid of it. if i ever did another WJ, it'd be a trail rig only, and i'd run the 6.5" IRO long arm :D yeye lol research is good! going wheelin tomorrow, if so have fun!
-
I have the 6.5 IRo front long arm kit on my '02 WJ..... It ROCKS!!!!

I just got the OME kit installed at BBB last week on my 04 Overland and so far it rides well. I haven't had it offroad yet.
