Title: Offroad Ramps
Post by: jenny on October 26, 2008, 05:18:33 PM
Has anyone every come across the aluminum ramps you sometimes see strapped to the side of expedition vehicles? They look like ramps folks use to load their quads into the back of their pickups. I'd like to get a pair for jeeping across deep hollows but have no idea where to locate them.

Yeah they do, just looked in the catalogue.  Pages 381-382.  Not sure if the weight rating is high enough though.  Check em out.  Other than that I'm sure someone on the forum can weld you up a custom set that would be more than beefy enough.

A buddy and myself just built our own "ladders" out of scrap tube steel and welded it all up...there about 5ft. long 2 ft. wide each and work great for gaps, holes or ledges,  there strong enough to hold a heavy 1/2 ton Ford.
Only cost us a case of beer and some time to build em.  ;)
