GF just picked up a 97 TJ. Signal lights were intermittent and then quit working altogether. You could make the left one work sometimes if you pulled the stick down a little ways. I ordered a new switch for it.
Anyone ever changed one of these? Pain in the arse? I believe it's the same procedure for 97-01 XJ's.

Just be really careful around the airbag!!!!
Mine is an '04 FSM, so I'm not sure.

Got it done, easy as pie. Took maybe 15 minutes.

Mine's been getting intermittent and seems to be affected by playing with the lever. What was involved in changing it out? How much was the switch? I am due to change mine before it gets to be gone all together.

Marco,
My hazards and signal lights aren't working properly. I pulled the combination flasher located just on the right side of the steering column. I will swap it out in the next day or two and let you know if that was it. It is $22 at Auto Value. I haven't checked out Crappy Tire yet. Auto Value tells me there are two of them, and it depends which one I am changing. From the FSM, I only see one, and I think they are mistaken.

Canadian Tire had a better price for the combination flasher. I went down to pick it up, and apparently it was something different they were quoting me. In the mean time, I put my old one back in, and it seems to be working fine now. Maybe it was loose, or maybe I am just lucky for now. For now I am going to leave changing out the "Combination Flasher" for another time. ie wait and see if it acts up again.
