Hey all,
I have a 92 yj with a 4.0L and a recent 4" lift and tcase drop. Problem im having now is that 2nd gear always slips out. Im thinking its just the shift boot causing it to spring out. Does anyone have any suggestion on fixing this?

Pull the shift boots off and see if the shifter is binding on the tub or boots. I know this can be a problem with body lifts

or your tranny mount on your skid plate rusted through so your tranny dropped a bit so the shifter is hitting the middle consol that happened to me i fixed the problem by using two 1/2 inch thick plate by 2 inches wide and 5inches long and welded it in place

T-case drop can cause this too. Be sure to address it soon or it can wear out the gear in the tranny itself and cost a lot of money to fix
