It's probably all interchangeable...but I don't think you'd see much benefit from it. As far as I know, the springs would probably be heavier, and the shocks might be a little bit better, but otherwise it'd be that same as what's on your X now.

If you can nab his shocks and springs DO IT.  Coils are heavy-duty and will hold up way better if you start adding weight with skids/bumper/etc.  The shocks are nice monotubes, compared to our crappy X versions.  Lots of Rubi owners don't realize they've got monotubes and give em up for crappier, but longer shocks that come with certain kits.

All you have to do for the swap is prop up either end on jackstands (on frame-rails) and undo the bottoms of the the sway links and shocks, and the one little bolt on each side's brakeline holder.  Then you can sway the axle around and swap the coils.  Take the old shocks out, pop new ones in.

Only trick is with the sway links.  In the rear you can bolt / tighten while in the air.  But in the front, as per service manual, you shouldn't even pass the bolts through until the tires are back on the ground - it can bind.  Also, in the front there are little dimples that the bottoms of the coils seat into.  Spin until seated.  That's it man, easy.  If you're looking at a budget boost, like a 2.5" it'd be a good time to do it all.
