Title: When will there be another "offroading 101" course?
Post by: stoggy97tj on November 24, 2008, 06:30:34 PM
Does anybody know when there will be another offroading 101 trip?  I missed the last one because my transfercase was not finished yet.

If anyone has any idea please keep me posted

I will be organizing another 101 probably for June of 2009.
Keep an eye on the site I will be advertising earlier this year and on other off road sights.
The requirements will stay the same: must be a jeep, front and rear tow points and so on.
A donation to the CJA trail fund will be the entry fee.
Fun is a requirement, Crying is optional  ;D

Awesome thanks for the quick reply.  I have front towhooks now but are there any recommended ways to attach rear tow points?

Pending on your budget. If you already have or can get a trailer hitch. You then get a trailer hitch shekel, $30 to $50. You could upgrade your rear Bumper to one with tow points; they come up for sale used on wheeling sights.

just buy 2 front tow hooks and mount them on the back. (shaped different then the back ones)

they also help protect the gas tank a bit when u come off a ledge.

Thanks again

i just use a hitch with a shackle attached to it, so i can put the tow rope on. if it can tow a 10,000 lbs trailer, and can tow you out of the mud.  ;D
