Title: garage door opener frequency in WJ

ok i feel amazing dumb for asking but i'm going to.  my WJ has the overhead console with the automatic garage door opener thingy in it, however i'm to dumb to figure out how to set its frequency to the one on my garage door. can someone tell me how to do it? 
i figured i could just hold my door opener when i opened the garage door while i held the button my overhead console, but nothing......
help?

John,
I have the manual that explains how to do this... doesn't work for me, as I have the newer style opener. The ol' WJ isn't up to sophistication like the garage opener is.

well both my house and jeep were made in 2000, hopefully they are on the same frequency lol.   i checked out wjjeeps and i didn't know that was how to do it, so i shall try it in a bit, if it fails Trev, i might have to borrow your manual!

I've been trying to get my wife's to work but it looks like my brand of garage door operator isn't on the compatibility list  :'(
