Title: Just how cheap...New '08 or '09 Wrangler Jeep???
Post by: HappyTheJeepMan on December 29, 2008, 11:15:14 AM
So what's the word on the street...just how 'inexpensive' can one get a new 08 or 09 Wrangler JEEP (JK is it now? real jeep model...doors & roof come off) for in Calgary AB??? Base price from the dealer is $19k ish MSRP.  What have you heard?  I want to help out D/C  ;)  and keep the Jeep logo alive in this time of despair and the heavy handed threat of the end of the Jeep product as we know it and all that is good and descent and right from Detroit.  But I want to keep it as cheap as possible...you know the 'consumer confidence' thing.

Was thinking of an econo-box car, but that is just plain silly when a JK would do just fine (a 1985 CJ7 is my real junk).  So plain Jane Wrangler, base model, I guess they just have a soft top, eh?  Will be used as my 'car' for the first few years of it's life (I know...sacrilege).  Rubi' would be nice, but not right now.  And ahhhh how about the 4 door model, plain Jane.  Lift and large wheels +++ to be added at a later date, when my investment portfolio recovers.

I have a good credit rating, wouldn't mind using the 0% financing offer.  Party with their money.

Thought I would run it past you experts before hitting a stealership, no offense but car salesmen and their dealings give me hives.   Get the word on the street and go in 'in the know'.

What do you know...what have you heard?

I have heard that you can get an '08 rubi for $24500, so a base model should be around $20k ish.  Keep in mind that the dealers will be willing to make pretty good deals. Find out what the invoise price is and offer 2K or so under that out the door.

not a jeep but we just bought a new 08 Grand Caravan all loaded up... invoiced at 36000, we paid just over 25000.

lots of good deals out there, probably better deals to come in the near future as the automotive bailout money is squandered by the dumb 3

We would have bought a Honda Odyssey but figured if this van lasts 4 years without dumping money into it then we're better off.

Just bought a 08 4 door sahara fully loaded execpt went for the standard trany and it was listed for 38 and I paied 32.  You get a lot of Jeep for that price.  Also if you look on the fine print in there 0% financing the Wangler isent on that list as it is a popluar modle so they dont have the huge deals on them.

Don't buy from Renfrew they are a bunch of con artists. I bought an 08 4dr Rubi from them and it was a nightmare. I heard Big 4 was good to deal with.
