hey all, I just got a new tranny in and I started doing my constant velocity joints and I looked at the Chilton's manual and it says the axle should just come out after you get the 3 bolts out and it's not happening? is their a C clip some were inside the diff? and can anyone tell me where I can get new lug nuts because I have gone to a few auto places intown and dodge, can tire and they all say they are discontinued I know I can get them from the wreckers but if I can get them now I would perfur to do that thanks for all the help

The unit bearing often siezes onto the hub, if you aren't reusing the unit bearing you can wail away on the flange with a hammer till it pops off. I tend to try to avaid doing this if I'm reusing the unit bearing but have done it out of nessescity on the trail before and it seemed fine afterwards.
You can wack on the heads of the bolts with them cranked in most of the way but you risk damaging the bolt heads. I have a "special" socket I keep around for putting over the heads of the bolts then wack on that.
The Dodge dealership has lots of lug nuts for cheap, just look in the used lot. ;) Just don't get greedy, only take a max of two per wheel.
Or if you prefer most auto parts stores sell lug nuts, they aren't cheap though but then again they are solid steel vs the acorn nuts with tin sleeves that the factory blessed us with.
