Title: Door wont open

I'm wanting to start tearing into my new toy, but i cant get the passanger door open! theres not vi sable damage and Ive got the Inside all torn apart with no luck on finding a solution. but in the same breath i don't know much about the door latches. and before i lose my mind and just weld the thing permanently shut i figured id ask.  oh and it a 88 Comanche.

I just went through this, the latch is probably worn out and you will need new ones. On the latch you have to hold up a level like part and then throw the latch part. I would pull the drivers door apart and have a look to see the mechanisms movement.
