Lift is in! took about 7-8 hours, but we took alot of brakes and messed around ALOT! Everything went pretty smoothly.

Damn those 37's look small. Stingers are coming mid feb.

Nice Jeep Man,

Questions: Howz the Bikini with Wrap Around and Duster? does it keep the water out, I have it, i just haven't installed it yet, waiting for my soft doors to come in next week.

I believe that to be the Skyjacker lift, how does it ride? did you upgrade the shocks? Did you re-gear to 5.13? are your carrying a spare 37 on the stock tailgate?

Hey, bikini and duster is awesome BUT DO NOT INSTALL IN THE WINTER. I installed it just last week and because it got cold it broke both my door surrounds. So wait for summer, let it strech properly and go from there.

Yup skyjacker 5" and 2" spacers. Shocks are the skyjacker shocks and they ride rough, I may get some bilstiens.

4.10's for now, definetly notice a difference, but still lots of torque. Will do that eventually, I think they are fine for now. And yes, 37" on the rear, my rear stinger is coming mid feb, but for now I just stuck it back there. Its incredibly bad on the hinges and I cut my bumper to make it fit, but I dont really care cuz the stinger had the tire carrier on it.

Get a new beefier trackbar bracket, that weld onto/around your existing ones.  The skyjacker lifts that other guys have been running on their JK's never used to come with them (do they now?) and they all sheared their brackets off after a few months.  It's just too much leverage on too small a bracket with those type of lift heights.

With the 2" body-lift did you have to extend the internal shifter boot at all - assuming you have a manual?

Found an example for you.  JKS, Teraflex, AEV and I believe a few other makes new brackets that weld and / or also bolt around the axle, instead of just using an extended bracket that only bolt onto the existing one.  If you start getting death wobble the welds are probably starting to crack.

Some guys have also just gusseted and added some more steel to their stock bracket.  Varying degrees of success, seems to depend on the guy's fab and weld skills.

But looks good man, almost needs some 40's under there now...

Ya, that Jeep looks sick,

I think he said 2" spacers, not body lift. Body lifts on the JK look terrible, stay away from them.

Keep me post with pic's of your Jeep, this is pretty much the route I wanna go.  I'm thinking of going with Pro Comp 4" lift w/ MX6 shocks, 2" spacers, with Teraflex Long Arm upgrade kit, and 37" of course.

Did you have to cut your Rock Rails to fit the 37"s?

Thanks for all the info! I will be welding up some guasettes for the track bar brackets, I too have read the horror stories. Actually on my old jeep I had the track bar fall off on the high way, that was fun.

Yes its a 6 spd.

Definetly need new shocks, those things suck. And yes, had to cut the rock rails, about 3"s off. You wouldnt be able to tell with out getting right in there, also cut off the pinch seam.

I may end up getting a dual steering stablizer until my hydro assist is done. The skyjacker one was bent so I just have the stock one, and talk about bump steer!!!!

Hey man, 1 more question.

So are you using the shocks that came with the 5" lift on the 5+2 lift? I didn't know you could do that. Would that limit your flex?

Oh, so he did.  My bad.  And I agree.  I think they look like crap on the JK's.  The tubs are more rounded than they used to be so it stands out quite a lot compared to a TJ / YJ

Using shock extensions?

Nope. The extra 2"s will limit my flex and I run the risk of blowing a shock. But new ones are on their way.

What did you do with driveshafts?? I have the 6.5" BDS Long arm on mine and love it, good ride, ZERO bump steer and I am running 37x13.5 toyo MTs on it. I just find it gutless as hell now. Going to be doing the 6.1L hemi in it this fall.

Jeep looks good!

Just think how nice it would look and smooth it would ride with a pair of ORI Struts up front!
No coils, bump stops, shocks, swaybar   ;)

It's one of those Where's Waldo things....if you look hard enough, you'll see the jeep.
