Replace the box with a camper/rv style body and have an extreme motorhome.  Kind of like this guy (http://www.ki7xh.com/camper.htm) did

Unimog's are awesome off road but SUCK on road,thats the trouble,you just would not want to drive one anywhere on road,i drove a new one,they drive very well on AND off road but cost a fortune.

That would be awesome for trail projects, think about the lumber and stuff you could carry in to build bridges etc.
