Sweet man, I can hear your LCA's screaming already!  :D

With cutting your front will be all good at 3", but unless you cut past the pinch welds in the back it'll prob rub once in a while on the trail! Nothin' the tires cant take... :P
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: Mudhawg on March 09, 2009, 11:51:13 PM
i have aftermarket LCA's goin in and ill adjust my steering stops so they dont rub the LCA's.. i have a welder so i can put the winch seams back together  ;D i wanna go 5" but dont want to do an SYE

I don't know how you turn those tires!  I had to do some minor cutting on the passenger side of my XJ because the 31's rubbed with a 3".  :o
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: JackstandJohnny on March 12, 2009, 11:24:53 PM
douggie, get that rear lift finished, it looks like your fenders are sitting on the tires!
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: Toyman on March 12, 2009, 11:49:48 PM
In my opinion, you need coil spacers and rear add a leafs for those 33's.  I have both for sale if you interested.  If not and you want to keep the COG, get out the sawzall.....
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: Mudhawg on March 13, 2009, 06:25:37 PM

Doug,

If you don't want to do the blocks or add a leaves; you could look into doing a budget bastard pack. I think you could go to the wreckers and get s-10 or Dakota leaves for cheap.
I believe this will work if you mix and match some leaves. Do some measuring. Has anyone else tried this?
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: JackstandJohnny on March 29, 2009, 07:58:28 PM
he will still need longer ubolts after that............................

and it would ride like a dump truck i would assume.

you could do a 2" shackle lift in the back doug. that'd be cheap too.  an add a leaf is cheap too man. so are blocks and ubolts at modern.

you should try and get that thing lifted man, stock ride height and 33s aint' good!

Shackle relocation brackets, they will lift your arse end 1.5". Then lift shackles, and you will be good!!!!

Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: Mudhawg on April 14, 2009, 01:50:24 PM
4" lift block
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: JackstandJohnny on April 14, 2009, 02:03:57 PM
did u figure out why your 4" chev lift blocks made it sit 6" tall yet???????? hows your driveline angles on that douggie?
Title: Re: My XJ
Post by: Mudhawg on April 14, 2009, 02:24:27 PM
driveline angle is good no binding as the block are angled to compensate for the pinion angle.. just gunna toss a 2" spacer up front to level it out

Well i took it out to maclean and had ZERO issues at all thing ran flawless only got stuck twice trying to crosscut deep ruts/1 mudhole got Warned by the RCMP on the way out for no mudflaps at the checkstop so guess ill rig some kind of quick disconects up for flaps also realized i need a swaybar back in this thing as its really tippy on the hiway as well as i need bumpstop extentions and offset wheels
